Mold Growth in an Office Bathroom
This small employees only bathroom in a Bartow travel agency developed a mold growth, from, of course, a supply line water leak, that went ignored. Since it was just a drip, most of the fungi were within the wall behind the commode. When the mold spots appeared on the flooring we were called in to remedy the situation. We replaced a washer on the supply line, removed the cove molding at the base and then drilled several small holes through the drywall. We then dried out the moisture within the trapped void and sprayed an antifungal agent to stop dormant spores from re-establishing a colony. The office staff than felt safe and secure without any visible mold on the floor. "Like it never even happened."
